SYNOPSIS
When award-winning lighting designer Itai Erdal learned his mother was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer, he immediately flew to Israel to be with her. During that time he shot hours of film and took hundreds of pictures, documenting his mother’s final days.
Deeply profound and surprisingly funny, How to Disappear Completely combines video footage and storytelling to demonstrate Erdal’s approach to theatrical lighting – as he reflects on the events that followed his mother asking him to take her life.
