SYNOPSIS

Shaista Latif is a storyteller who has been invited to tell a story.

She is a perpetual guest, and her time is limited.

So, she will be justifying her existence and building a live archive to mark her eventual disappearance.

This is her story.  This is not Aladdin.  Watch at your discretion.

THE ARTISTS

Shaista Latif – Creator & Performer
Shaista Latif is an artist, director and facilitator. Her works explore the politics of inclusion and class. Latif’s works have been presented at the NAC’s Ontario Scene Festival, SummerWorks, Why Not Theatre’s Riser Project, Halifax Queer Acts, Art Gallery of Ontario and the Rhubarb Festival. Her play Graceful Rebellions was recently published by Playwrights Canada Press (Queer/Play Book edited by Moynan King). Latif also voiced the character Soraya, in the Oscar nominated animated film The Breadwinner.
