Every year over 65,000 people gather in the desert outside of Reno, Nevada to form a temporary community called Burning Man. Burnt explores the participants and culture of Burning Man using recordings of interviews, conversations, music, dust storms, and chaos.

Norah Paton’s Burnt originated at Fresh Meat 3 in 2014, and was subsequently featured as part of New Play Tuesday in 2016. After a year of work through under development, Burnt premiered as part of the 2017 undercurrents festival.
