Rice Boy is your average high schooler with a dream – to go against the grain and make it big as a rapper. After hearing a radio ad about a rap battle competition, he knows this is his big chance. With the vocabulary of a KUMON advanced program, join him on his journey to be the biggest, baddest rapper there ever was – without his mom finding out!

No More Mr. Rice Guy would like to recognize the assistance of Theatre 4.669 in the development of the show through Theatre 4.469’s 2020 Creators’ Lab.

Caterina Fiorindi – Stage Manager/Archivist Caterina Fiorindi is an Ottawa based stage manager and producer. She is a co-founder of the UPROAR arts festival and was nominated for a Prix Rideau Award for Emerging Artist (2018). Selected credits: Silence (National Arts Centre), The Rule of Three (The Great Canadian Theatre Company).

Alli Harris – Director/Sound Designer Alli Harris is a comedic-musician and actor who currently resides in Ottawa. She most recently performed for NAC’s #CanadaPerforms with her original musical High School High for which she won two Prix Rideau Awards for Emerging Artist and Best New Creation (2018). Alli is the musical composer for the original show Lauren and Amanda Do It with Toasted Theatre (Next Stage and various Fringe Festivals) and the Company of Fools production of Romeo and Juliet and Love From Afar.

Megan Piercey Monafu – Dramaturg Megan Piercey Monafu is a playwright, director, facilitator, and producer. In 2018-2019 Megan was a playwright-in-residence at the Great Canadian Theatre Company, and an artist-in-residence at the Ottawa Fringe’s undercurrents festival. Megan is the Founder and Artistic Director of CSArt Ottawa, a social enterprise that connects local audiences with local artists across disciplines.

Franco Pang – Performer Franco Pang is a production and stage manager, designer, creator, and performer. He is a recent recipient of the 2019 Prix Rideau for Emerging Artist in design and creation. He also co-created, performed, and designed Light(less), a non-verbal show, which received an outstanding new work nomination from the Prix Rideau Awards. He is passionate about new works.
